Leonard Ober
Executive Chef Hello, I am Len Ober, Executive Chef here at Stony Brook University. I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in October 1991 and started my professional career in NYC working at the Russian Tea Room, “21″ as the Lead Saucier, at the Plaza Hotel as Sous Chef, at the Trusties Dining Room at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and as Chef at the Club Bar and Grill at Madison Square Garden. I came to SBU in 2002 as Executive Sous Chef and then in 2004 I was promoted to Executive Chef. I still continue to learn about food and all its diversity and pass it on here at SBU. I am very hands on and enjoy working with all the cooks on campus to help them better serve you. I look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions feel free in contact me.
