My name is Matthew Schnebel and I have been at the University’s Kelly Dining Center for almost five years now.

I have lived on Long Island my entire life. During high school I attended Eastern Suffolk BOCES where I had my start in Culinary Arts. After I graduated I studied food at Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island.

After school I worked at various restaurants across Long Island. I started in food service about seven years ago and haven’t left since. There is something about mass food production that I like over any other style of service.

Out of any cuisines that I would like to cook there is only one that I have a passion for. BBQ! I like being outdoors so it’s almost natural that I rather be outside with my friends and family cooking some steaks or ribs. Just a little bit about myself.
